What do you do for self-care?

What do you do for yourself when things get stressful and you need to regroup for your physical, mental, and emotional well-being?

Some ideas for emotional self-care are: Setting limits and boundaries. Remember, it is okay to say no! Screen your calls and unplug from the social media world from time-to-time. Learn to let go of people who aren't good for you or only need you when they want something. If people are the cause of your stress, dig deep and look into that. You want people in your life that are supportive and do not drain you. Other ideas for self-care are meditation, mantras, relaxation exercises ,writing in a journal, a blog, or listening to calming music.

Make a goal for good self-care practices. "I will practice self-care for 10-15 minutes each day by meditating in the morning when I wake up" (something like that...you pick the goal)!

Make sure you are giving yourself the gift of good physical self-care too. We need proper food, exercise, and food to thrive. Your brain will thank you!

Every person is unique, so one self-care technique may work great for one person and for another individual, not so much. Take time to learn self-care techniques and see what works for you.

You deserve to give yourself the time of self-care.
