Motivational Connection
"Believe in yourself, because I do."
Spend Time with Friends and Loved Ones
Human connection is important for our well-being. Of course the true way to happiness is through our own work of self-worth, but we must also have human connection in order for us to live healthy lives. This does not mean we have to spend time with friends or family the majority of the day, but it is good to take a step back from the routine of daily life and visit those who are dear to us. Nothing outbeats a real live connection with a friend or family member. Stop the texting, stop the communication via social media and meet someone for coffee, lunch, or whatever else might strike your fancy!
According to Robinson, Boose, Smith, and Segal (2016), making friends are essential and have a huge impact on our life. Friends bring us comfort, joy, prevent us from isolation, and relieve stress (p. 1). Through research studies, more so than family relationships and love, friends brings more happiness into our lives, and this is critical for our psychological well-being. Further, our psysical health can be compromised with the lack of the bond that friendships bring. According to Robinson, Boose, Smith, and Segal, "Studies show that a lack of social connection can be as damnaging as smoking, drinkng too much, or leading a sedentary lifestyle" (p. 1, para. 2).
Increasing one's circle of friends can add longevity to one's life. It's never too late to get yourself out there and meet new people. Here are the benefits to good friends:

One last tid bit of advice:
To have a friend, you must be a good friend. Just as your wish to have meaningful friendships that last a lifetime, so does the other person you are communicating with. Truly listen attentively and geniunely and always forgive, because no one is perfect. Happy Friending!
Here is a picture from a wonderful group of friends. These ladies have been doing water aerobics for years, I'm the baby and newcomer to the group. They have welcome we with open arms and are truly one of the best groups of friends I have ever had!
Dinner with friends, see the geniune smiles?!! This is what friendship does for your well-being. IT JUST MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD!
Art and Wine. Need I say more? Look at our creativity and our smiles!
Two aspects here, nature and friendship. The perfect combination for a perfect day. Do we look happy? Yes, we are happy!!!!!!!!
